  • Established as Indian Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd (IHDC) in 1958 .

  • Incorporated as Private Ltd . Co. in June 1962 as subsidiary of STC .

  •  De-linked from STC in May 1991 and made an independent PSU under the Ministry of Textiles as a Schedule 'C' Company .

  • Upgraded to Schedule 'B' Company from Schedule 'C' Company in December , 2001.
